Abstract:
The impact of migration on population dynamics and structural changes is well-documented; however, quantifying these effects has become increasingly complex due to uncertainties surrounding the magnitude of long-term migration flows and the demographic characteristics of migrants. Additionally, both transit and permanent migration are concurrently influencing various nations. In Nanded City, a significant proportion of daily migration is concentrated within a distance of less than one kilometer in the Nanded Tehsil area. This study, approved for the time frame from January to December 2017, focuses on this specific aspect of migration within Nanded Tehsil. Migration is an integral component of human existence, often presenting challenges linked to social, economic, political, and environmental factors, including poverty. Consequently, individuals engage in daily migratory activities, seeking employment opportunities in various occupations or trades across selected villages within the Nanded Tehsil area. The complexities of measuring the effects of migration on population trends and structures are exacerbated by uncertainties regarding the size of migration flows and migrant characteristics over extended timeframes. Furthermore, both outbound and inbound migration along with daily and transit migration. Increasingly affect urban areas. This phenomenon is particularly prevalent in metropolitan cities in India, such as Mumbai and Delhi.
