The Applications of Operations Research in Insurance and Management

Abstract:

The present review is a systematic literature review-cum-bibliometric analysis of Insurance Management to canvass the field holistically. Through this review, the authors have tried to find the dominant themes in the field of insurance management and the importance of Operational Research in the Insurance sector in making it less risky and more reliable. The data for the review is procured from Elsevier’s Scopus database by using important keywords. The final database used for this review comprises 178 articles and 17 review papers. It was found that health, life, and mortgage insurance were the most dominant themes for this study.
